You'll see the likely job and a price range for Calgary. If a photo isn't enough, we will say so.
You'll pick one of three licensed professionals. Each one will show a price, a time and a rating.
You'll get a booking ID and a reminder. We will only say booked once the booking is confirmed.

You can't answer the phone from under a sink. Our AI will answer it in your shop's name, say it's an AI, and book jobs into your free time.

Where we are
Handled is a research project by three University of Calgary students. We're talking to Calgary homeowners and professionals before we build anything for real. Plumbing and heating come first, because that's what breaks in a Calgary winter.

No. Asking and booking will be free. You will pay the professional for the job, and Handled will take its share from the professional. That's our plan, and we're testing it now.
Yes. Every professional on Handled will hold a trade licence, and we will check it before they join.
The Government of Alberta suggests asking for a trade certificate, WCB coverage and proof of insurance. We plan to check all three for you.
Our price ranges will come from prices Calgary businesses publish, like diagnostic fees and flat rates. You will see the range before you book.
If the job turns out bigger, the professional will ask you before going over it.
Handled is not an emergency service. If you smell gas, leave the house and call 911.
Not yet. We plan a working demo in November 2026 and a small Calgary pilot by April 2027. Join the waitlist and we'll email you once, when it opens.
No. The proposed terms are 12% of completed jobs, or 10% after 15 jobs in a month. There is no monthly fee and no lead fee. If a job doesn't happen, you pay nothing.
Yes. It will say it's an AI at the start of every call and in every chat. That is one of our three promises.
Yes, that's the plan. You will forward your number to Handled when you can't pick up, so customers will still call the number they know.
